Having grown up with rock music, I found myself longing for things in there that, in the end, always eluded me.
With this album, I have found what I was missing. Thank you. b6d

Ayuz ! Wonderful militant Amazigh South Moroccan folk music album, like those we love from the seventies and eighties and now with Tiddulkla.

Pure bliss. Habibi Funk label releases are always reliably excellent, but this is high-tier even by their standards. Difficult choice between Matar Al Sabah and Lahnon Lemra'ati Wa Beladi for my favorite song here. Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss
Beautiful, hypnotic music from this Armenian oud player captures the instrument's delicacy in a series of heart-stirring songs. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 25, 2016

An awesome showcase for the rubab, this album just flies by. Gulab Afridi's playing seems to effortlessly elicit one's attention and keep it snared throughout the album's playtime. Don't sleep on this.
Edit: after spending more time with this release, I can safely say this album is incredible. Afridi’s improvisation is spotless, the alaps are short but good and do a wonderful job in setting up the ragas, and the whole thing is just razor sharp. Is it too early to call this a modern classic? Smekermann
